Presidential Physician: Hans Kraus
Presidents
Notes
- Kraus was a New York orthopedic surgeon, and former trainer of the Austrian Olympic ski team.
- Kraus started seeing JFK in Washington and Florida in 1961, without pay, at his own expense, once or twice a week. By October 1962 he'd accumulated more than $2700 in unreimbursed travel expenses. Also by that time he was becoming exasperated with the court atmosphere in the White House and with the feuing between Kennedy's primary doctors.
