John Kennedy: Liaisons

Summers & Dorril recount the following anecdote:

According to [then 19 year old Mariella] Novotny, she also took part in a ~ group sex game with Kennedy [in January 1960]. The scenario played out ~ involved two other prostitutes who pretended to be a nurse and doctor to ~ Kennedy as patient.... One of [the other two prostitutes] had indeed studied ~ medicine at the University of California. After a teasing session with the ~ girls in hospital uniforms, they all had sex together. 1a

Summers and Dorril hypothesize that Kennedy's frequent contact with hospitals and the medical profession would somehow have lead to a prurient interest in such things. However, caution is advised given the source of the anecdote, viz. the claim that someone who studied medicine at an upper tier university wound up as a prostitute. This suggests either fabrication or a confusion of the facts.

Comment: Much sensationalism and drivel has been written about JFK. Thus, it is very hard for anyone devoting less than full time to Kennedy studies to discern what is credible and what is not. This book strikes me as containing a mixture of credible, verifiable statements and statements best treated with skepticism.
